Pioneer Paving Ltd has built run-off channels by hand beside stairwells on a mountainside; has excavated and retained a hillside to build tennis courts; and has hand built driveways on 26% plus grades. The aforementioned are just some of the more unusual projects that we have taken on. Challenging sites and abstract ideas are considered with seriousness.
Is a quote prepared with drawings, measurements, and a detailed listing of materials with scope of work?
When a client requests an on-site visit for a free quote, we utilize a well-established practice to give our customers a comprehensive, detailed quote. Our quote shows that time and thought have been invested in getting all the information needed to do a great job. It lists the amount of materials to be used, includes a drawing with measurements, any special notations, etc., and is signed by a company representative. Our customers know that they will be getting something of substantial value and that satisfaction is based on a mutual agreement.
A figure on the back of a business card, with little details, charging considerably less than the going rate for a standard quality paving job, indicates that there may be a cutting back on materials or time spent in finishing the job properly. This practice (which, unfortunately, is more common than not) means that day-to-day living and the environment will break down the finished product faster and it will have to be replaced or repaired again. Costs to the owner will have doubled in a short period of time.
