We are a Company who is thinking of sending holiday gift baskets, when should we place an order? |
Answer
We begin accepting holiday gift basket orders in October. And we have received several alread.
Our advise is to order early this guarantees, that you have a choice and if we need to design something special for your company it allows us time to do so.
Our supplies begin to get busy by mid November and then deliveries from them take longer and as well they begin to sell out.
So if you have your Santa List ready give us a call or drop into see us and we can discuss your order over coffee. . |

We often send flowers as a sympathy tribute, but have been thinking perhaps a gift basket would be nice, do you make Sympathy Gift Baskets? |
Answer
Yes, we generally suggest a combination of fruit and goodies in a sympathy basket and that it be delivered to their home rather than than the funeral home. We find that when people are grieving they tend not to want to eat anything heavy so fruit/cookies/, crackers/cheese etc., can keep them going for a few days...or if someone drops in to visit they can put some of the contents out for these guests. Some of our clients like to wait for a few days after the funeral to send their wishes but we can send your sympathy wishes at a time convenient to you and the family. . |

No, prices quoted on our web do not include delivery or taxes.
(Local Delivery, which includes, Ottawa, Kanata, Nepean, Orleans, Manotick $12.50 + taxes. Old Hull...$15.00 + taxes...Old Aylmer...$18.00 plus taxes...Old Gatineau...$20.00 plus taxes. Please note if drivers have to deliver twice due to an incorrect address, or no one being available to sign for gift basket you will be charged for the 2nd delivery
Extended Area, which includes Carleton Place, Carp, Stittsville, Almonte, Greely and Cantley...$15.00-25.00 + taxes (price will depend on distance from Centre Ottawa to recepient address). If Driver has to deliver twice due to an ncorrect address, or no one being available to sign for gift basket you will be charged for the 2nd delivery
Yes, we delivery across the country via Purolator. We would bill your credit card the Purolator charges, handling charges + taxes. This would be done through a second transaction once we had received the exact amount charged for your parcel. |

Can you send one of your great baskets to Toronto?
Can you tell us the cost of courier charges when we order?
When we order flowers from Ottawa to be delivered in Toronto they can tell us the delivery charges, so we don't understand why you can't tell is in advance. |

Of course we can ! We ship our baskets all over Canada. You will find shipping information on the top of our order form.
Depending on the time of year a basket heading to Toronto will take 1-2 business days.
No, there will be two charges to your credit card, one for the purchase of your gift basket and the 2nd charge will be for the courier charges once we have taken your boxed gift basket to the courier had it weighed etc., and they tell us the cost.
When you order flowers in Ottawa for delivery in Toronto, the arrangement is NOT made here and sent to Toronto. The Ottawa Florist calls someone in Toronto who is closest to your delivery location and has that florist make up your order and ship from that Toronto Location, that is why they can tell you the delivery charges up front.
Where we make your basket here so it is exactly as you saw it on our web, we wrap it, the wrap for boxing, box it, label it and take it to Purolator where it is weighed and they can tell us how much, this way we don't over charge or under charge you. |

How much notice do you need to create one of your beautiful fruit baskets?
Friends of mine sent one of your fruit baskets to my family and it was beautiful we hated to open it.

Answer
We request at least 24 hours notice as we do not have fruit here and would have to purchase it. We usually contact the home it is going to to let them know we have a delivery for them and set up a time for delivery. Once we know the day we can deliver we purchase the fruit that day and make up your fruit basket upon our return and it is sent out as soon as we finish that way assuring it as fresh as possible. Our fruit basket are full and heavy and generally send a little instruction sheet with the gift basket to let them know to look under the shredding for additional fruit and to remind them to put any perishables in a cool place. |

We are not familiar with the Ottawa area and would like to know if you are a 'seasonal gift basket company' or are you a permanent gift basket company?

Answer
We have a permanent location at 112 Nelson Street that includes a showroom. We are located in suite 205. We are open Monday to Friday. During the holiday periods we open a few Saturdays and some Sundays prior to the holiday. We normally post additional hours on our website home page. Or call us to discuss an appointment for you on a weekend. |

Our company has our own season tickets and often reward staff and clients by sending them to the game. Can we put our tickets in your Go Sens Go Basket? |

Yes. A great way to reward staff, clients or to say thanks to a friend!
We would put your tickets inside the Go Sens Go basket in the same manner we do when we sell the Go Sens Go Baskets with our tickets in them.

Can we purchase tickets only to Musical or Sporting Events? |
Answer
Classy Gift Baskets is not a 'ticket distributor' therefore the only way to purchase tickets through us is by purchasing one of our Entertainment or Sporting Gift Baskets. It should be noted that we sell our tickets in our gift baskets for the price we paid for them including any additional service charges we paid to companies such as Capital Tickets orTicketmaster..... We sell out tickets in pairs and do not sell single tickets.

Can we send one of your balloons with a stuffed animal inside to someone in the hospital?
Can we send a stuffed balloon to Toronto? |
Answer
No, hospitals have policies regarding particular balloons and therefore we do not send a stuffed balloon to a hospital patient.
The stuffed balloon is very fragile and all Gift Baskets being shipped out of town must be boxed for shipping. The stuffed balloon would not survive. Therefore we only deliver the stuffed balloon in the National Capital Area. |

Can we put a plant in our basket? |
Answer
Yes by all means we can put a 'small plant' in your basket which we would purchase the day of delivery and send it out with the other goodies included in your basket. We would have to estimate the cost of the plant when you call as we do not have plants here. The person would have to be home to accept this gift basket. . |

Could we visit you at your showroom and pick items to be put into a basket from your stock?
Also if we have some items that we have purchased elsewhere and would like them included in our gift basket would this be possible?

Answer
Yes, by all means visit us at our showroom and browse through the many items we have on display. Once you have chosen your items one of our designers will work with you to create your customzied basket.
Certainly, we invite our clients to personalize their gift basket as much as possible. We would need to see the items you wish to include in your basket and discuss what items need to be added so that your basket has the 'wow' factor when it is completed. Once our designers have viewed your items and have a sense of the type of basket you wish to create then they would be able to give you a price quote. |

Could we add a bottle of wine or champagne to the Celebration baskets or the Gourmet baskets?

Classy Gift Baskets does not sell wine or champagne however many of our clients have delivered wine or champagne to our showroom so that we can include it in their baskets. You can add an alcoholic beverage to any of the baskets we design providing you supply us with the bottle and the recepient is of legal age. We do sell 'non alcoholic' wine, champagne and beer. |

Do you carry 'sugar free' products?

Yes we have several types of sugar free candy, chocolate etc., and keep these products in inventory all year. When ordering your basket please mention to our sales staff that you wish to have 'sugar free' products in your basket. Also, please mention any allergies or other concerns we should be aware of.

We noticed that you offer Dining Baskets and that brought to mind a question...
If we prefer a restaurant that you do not represent, could we purchase a Gift Certificate and send it out in your Dining Basket. |
Answer
If you prefer to use your own Gift Certificates by all means bring them to us or send by Courier and we will put them in our dining basket. Dining Baskets make great 'thank you' gifts for staff, clients, friends and family. |
